A Woman Defined

Villa Blanca Restaurant, Bevery Hills

I dream of a place where every one is beautiful, wearing beautiful garments, living in beautiful mansions, riding in beautiful cars, purchasing beautiful objects, shedding tears over beautiful pains. If there is such a land, we surely have to name it “the beautiful Beverly Hills.” I love all the things which are not real and are made of the soft, fuzzy materials of dream and fantasy. After all, why should there be suffering and pain? Why can’t we all be the occupants of the beautiful, unreal land of Beverly Hills, where the stores all carry the beautiful objects which, when in your possession, can put a smile on your face? Why not? Is there really a shame in loving luxury? Do we purposely not allow ourselves to indulge and to be happily drowned in the plentifulness of excess? Are we possessed with this hidden fear that some power out of the sky, like lightning, would come down and strike us and punish us for the sin of having it all?

If you want to go to Beverly Hills to have lunch with a girl friend, dress casually chic, be seen, and people watch, then you should go to the beautiful Villa Blanca. I like the restaurant; it responds to the female in me. The decor is so feminine, all in white – white, clean, and perfect. I love the always-white floral arrangements there; they make you feel good and bring a smile to your lips. I also like the fact that the place takes you right into the perfect fantasy world of Lisa Vanderpump, the star of the reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Vanderpump is the designer of the Villa Blanca Restaurant’s look and feel. To me, this woman is smart and beautiful. She allows herself to be as glamorous as she is bright. I have seen a lot of really smart women who think there is a uniform look and style to which one must conform which states, “Yes, this woman is very smart and bright; therefore, she has no need to be feminine and beautiful.” To not allow your feminine side to shine – well, I don’t agree with that.

Now, here at Villa Blanca, the place is perfect to feel as though you have no worry in the world. If you want to just take the afternoon off, look good, and meet with your best girl friend to chit chat about small fun things, like your recent purchases or a movie you just saw or who said this and who did what, then you surely should go to Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills.
